Get into character - Clare
Angel at the Paradise Hotel
Hello and welcome,
Building on my last posts I want to introduce you to another main character in Angel at the Paradise Hotel.
Stepping onto the stage is CLARE
Who would play Clare in a film? Poppy Gilbert! Pictured above.
Poppy was born to British parents in Stockholm. but she would make a fantastic Irish colleen. Poppy was actually paired up with Aneurin Barnard (my perfect pick for who would play Jason in a film) in the recent TV series The Catch.
If you have read my previous posts you will already know that Clare, running from a broken relationship, is drawn into a love triangle with Jason. She's not a pushover though!
She has red hair and the feisty character that I know, from personal experience, goes with that. My lovely late-mum was a redhead!
She is uncertain about Jason and tries to keep a guard on her heart.
Things that happen over the summertime confuse her emotions. She is very aware of the differences in Jason's culture and hers.
You probably know someone like Clare
If you do there's a strong chance that you like them very much. Maybe you know something extra about the object of their love and wonder if you should enlighten them. That's always a dilemma.
Trying to be a good friend is not always straightforward. You may find yourself shouting at Clare wanting to tell her something. You know, like at the Panto when the audience shouts, "He's behind you!"
Will Clare work it out in the end? We hope so, but all will be revealed!

Yes, I was privileged to know a "Clare." When she entered a room with her red hair, friendly smile and big personality, everyone knew. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. I wonder if she entered Heaven just as flamboyantly. We shall meet again.
ReplyDeleteThe best with your new book.
Oh, Flora! Thank you so much for sharing a sketch of your, clearly beloved, friend...! It brought a tear to my eye that she has gone on before you, leaving such a gap in your life and in the life of others. Gone But Not Forgotten; until you meet again in Heaven. And thank you so much for your encouragement with the book.x
